About

Pocket Lane started as a group chat where three friends kept sending each other links to mobile games. At some point we realised nobody was reviewing these things properly — most articles read like they were written by someone who opened the game once and gave up. So we built a small site and promised ourselves we'd only write about games we finished, or at least played long enough to form a real opinion.

We lean toward racing and arcade titles because that's what we love, but the catalogue is wider than that. There's room for a good RPG, a clever strategy game or a quiet simulation. What matters is whether the thing is fun to hold in your hands on a train.

Choosing what to cover is simple and a bit stubborn. One of us plays the game first, keeps notes, then hands the phone to someone else for a second take. If both of us are bored after twenty minutes, it rarely makes the site. We'd rather publish fewer reviews that mean something.

Nobody here is paid by a studio to say nice things. When we like something, we say why. When we don't, we say that too, and we try to be fair about it.
